Why Orji should lead Igbo into 2015 —PDP stalwart

UMUAHIA—As a result of poor leadership qualities exhibited by past leaders in the South East region, a call has been made for Governor Theodore Orji of Abia State, to lead Igbo into 2015.
According to a Peoples Democratic Party stalwart and former aide to the governor, Mr. Ben Onyechere, this became expedient as the political progression of a people or group is squarely dependent on their leadership which inadvertently must be selfless and acceptable.
In a statement in Umuahia, weekend, he said: “At this juncture, it has become unavoidable to tell ourselves the truth such that we can collectively advance the position of lgbo in the scheme and calculus of Nigerian politics. Governor Orji is not only an asset to Abia, but to lgbo in general.
“The time to apply sentiment of civil war is over as events have completely over taken that era with evidence for all to see. The acceptability of the governor by party leaders of other ethnic groups goes a long way to prove that he is positioned to galvanise Igbo interests in furtherance of our push for equity.
“His membership of the PDP caucus is an eloquent testimony of the veracity of his personality which has added value in the attraction of federal presence to Abia and Igboland in general.”
