REPS THROWN TO ROWDY SESSION OVER NEW PDP LEADERSHIP VISIT

The House of Representatives was upon resumption from its nearly two months recess thrown into a rowdy session earlier today over a planned visit of the Kawu Baraje-led New PDP to the House.
Trouble started when Speaker Aminu Waziri Tambuwal read a letter from the Baraje New PDP requesting to visit the PDP leadership of the
House.
However, soon after Tambuwal read the letter to PDP members, the House was thrown into a chaotic situation with members seen in clusters
discussing noisily.
While members of the Bamanga Tukur-led PDP were shouting "No, no!" those of the New PDP were shouting "Yes, yes."
The rowdy situation took nearly 30 minutes before Tambuwal intervened and clarified that "There was a similar communication from Alhaji
Bamanga Tukur to address the PDP caucus in the House, but he withdrew his letter this morning. That is why I didn't read it here. It is a
purely PDP affair, and it will not take place on the floor of the House."
