President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Alhaji Najim Yasin has appealed to the Federal Government to implement the new number plates only on newly purchased vehicles.
Yasin spoke to Daily Trust in Ilorin, Kwara State shortly after commissioning three Marcopolo buses in conjunction with the state NURTW executive led by Alhaji Isa Ore. The buses were donated by a member of the House of Representatives representing Moro, Edu and Patigi, Ahman Patigi. Our correspondent reports that motorists in the state have been grumbling about the high rate of the new number plates.
