The Northern States Governors Forum (NSGF) has felicitated with the Etsu Nupe and chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, who marked his 10th anniversary on the throne yesterday.
The group described the monarch as a man of peace and a rare patriot who has been playing a leading role in ensuring religious tolerance and unity among the people in his domain.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Danladi Ndayebo, Aliyu noted that since the Etsu Nupe’s coronation in 2003, violence, whether sectarian or otherwise has become a rare occurrence in the area.
