An Abuja High Court has ordered the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Abubakar to produce the three Police officers currently being held over alleged Boko Haram activities.
Police Corporal Jimmy Oba and Constables Iliya Mark and Michael Manu were arrested on June 18, 2012 along with five other civilians at various locations in Gombe State for allegedly belonging to the Boko Haram sect.
The other suspects are: Ahmed Ibrahim, Isah Kano, Yambali Umaru, Sadebo Ali Amitiga and Yakubu Douglas.
Ruling on a motion for fundamental rights enforcement brought by their counsel Nanpon Wuyep, Justice Peter Affen ordered the Police to produce the suspects and to show reason why they should not be released from detention.
