I DID MY BEST FOR JONATHAN - SEN EMORDI

Former special adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on National Assembly matters, Senator Joy Emordi, has said that she did her best for the President for the two years she was in his government.

In a statement in Abuja yesterday, Emordi said she recorded over 100 achievements as special adviser because under her watch no executive bill was thrown out and that 99.9 percent of all presidential nominees were confirmed by the Senate.
Emodi also expressed gratitude to the  Senate President, David Mark and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, and all lawmakers in National Assembly for the “immeasurable cooperation” and support they accorded her.
“I thank God for the privilege to serve our President Goodluck Jonathan as well as distinguished Senators and honorable members who showed me great solidarity every step of the way.”

“ Their cooperation ensured that, among others, no executive was thrown out 99.9 percent of all presidential nominees were confirmed and made the historic passage of the 2013 budget possible.
“ I call on the executive and National Assembly members to continue on the path of harmonious executive-legislature relations in the overall interest of the nation,” she added.
The former lawmaker was relieved of her appointment by President Jonathan last Friday.
